UV Fused Silica Window

UV fused silica is an excelent optical material which features of high homogeneity, good mechanical properties and better thermal stability than BK7 glass, usfull transmission from 185nm to 2100nm. Flat window & wedged window made of UV fused silica are used for UV and high power laser application.

Notes:
Fused Silica is the glassy form of Quartz and is thus isotropic. Fused Silica is tough and hard and has a very low expansion. Normal varieties of Fused Silica contain water which gives strong absortion in the IR.

IR Grade Fused Silica with min. [OH] content leads to excellent infrared transmission up to 3.6 μm wavelength. OptoCity offer UV grade Fused Silica, IR grade Fused Silica and full spectral Fused Silica.
